Ares

Description: Ares is a wonderful dog with the purest and most sensitive soul. We all love him so much, he’s our little protege. He is a special dog shaped by the past. Ares was taken from a farm nearly 3 years ago where he probably spent most of his life on a chain. He was highly traumatized and would not allow men near him. After months of one to one care, Ares is starting to improve to the extent he can now be taken for walks around the shelter. He enjoys his walks to the fullest, he hunts little geckos and walks confident on the leash. You cannot tell that he’s an anxious dog. Meanwhile he shares a play area together with his friends, which brings so much more joy to his life. We are happy to say that Ares is officially up for adoption and is now patiently waiting for his family. The next steps can only be taken in his new home, the shelter is a stressful place where there’s not enough time for dogs like Ares. We hope that the right people are reading this. Ares needs experienced, patient and sensitive people. He would love to live in a calm neighborhood where he can start to trust at his own pace. A sovereign first dog would help Ares a lot but isn’t necessary. He is a wonderful dog with a bright future, he just needs a chance.
